AZB ORGANIZES THE TRAINING COURSE FOR WORKERS TO CHANGE THEIR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AWARENESS

To practice occupational safety and hygiene, AZB signed contract with HSSE Vietnam as a constant partnership to perform training and practical guidance at each construction site. Recently, at Yongjin Tien Giang construction site, HSSE Vietnam has accomplished a 3-days training course with 24 hours of training for 300 workers (who belong to Group 3).

On the first day of training time, trainees are equipped with knowledge about occupational safety, occupational hygiene and standards; knowledge of risky and harmful factors in the workplace; improvement methods about working conditions. The regimes on occupational safety and hygiene for employees and building a safety culture in labor and production.

On the second day, disseminate regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, signs and instruction signs indicating occupational safety and hygiene and the use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment; skills in first aid for occupational accidents and prevention of occupational diseases. General knowledge about machines, equipment, substances generating dangerous and harmful factors.

On the third day, trainees were instructed on how to identify, evaluate and control risks; change awareness about occupational safety, so that workers have the habit of "thinking safe" to take "safe actions" from which they will be truly safe.

At the last session of the basic knowledge, workers were guided to practice directly at the construction site and perform the essay to bring lesson learned as a basis of assessment, issue certificate of occupational safety and hygiene for trainees.

In this training session, AZB labor's health care and prevention of occupational diseases were also carried out in accordance with regulations as well. Screening test is carried out at the construction site. Post-examination results show that most of AZB's workers have medical reports at type 1 and 2, about 0.5% belong to type 3. All of them meet the standard to work at the site.
