AZB TOPS OUT KINGFA PROJECT – MILESTONE OF 1,000,000 SAFE MAN-HOURS IN A HIGH-TECH FDI PROJECT IN DONG NAI

The ceremony took place at Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province, co-organized by Kingfa Science & Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. and general contractor AZB Joint Stock Company. The event marks a crucial step in the project timeline, paving the way for the finishing, equipment installation, and operation phase.

As one of the major FDI projects currently under development in Dong Nai, the Kingfa Factory has received strong support from provincial leaders. During the recent Lunar New Year period, a delegation led by a Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee visited and inspected the site. This reflects the local government's commitment to accompanying key investment projects and acknowledges the efforts of both the investor and the contractor in ensuring construction progress, quality, and safety.

Located in a prime location with convenient connectivity to key expressways and surrounded by modern planning and synchronized infrastructure, the Kingfa Factory not only plays a vital role in the high-tech materials supply chain but also contributes to building an industrial ecosystem and enhancing the production and logistics capacity in Dong Nai.

KINGFA’S GROWTH POTENTIAL IN VIETNAM

Kingfa Science & Technology is the largest compounding plastics manufacturer in China. Established in 1993 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2004, the company specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of new chemical materials. Kingfa currently operates 56 subsidiaries in China and has branches in the USA, Germany, Malaysia, India, and Vietnam.

As part of its global expansion and high-tech development strategy, Kingfa highly values Vietnam’s strategic location and strong growth potential. With this investment, the company aims to develop its Vietnam factory into a strategic hub, playing a key role in Kingfa’s global development journey. The factory is projected to reach a sales volume of 170,000 tons and create jobs for over 1,000 employees.

This investment by Kingfa Science & Technology (Vietnam) is part of its global supply chain expansion strategy, tapping into the high-growth Southeast Asian market. Kingfa aims to transform its Dong Nai facility into a key manufacturing and export base in the region.

AZB – THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR PARTNERING WITH KINGFA

AZB JSC is responsible for delivering the complete factory infrastructure and office blocks, including structural works, MEP systems, water supply & drainage, fire protection, and other key components. With a total construction value of USD 80 million, AZB executes the project to international technical standards, leveraging its experience from industrial projects across Europe, Japan, and South Korea.

AZB has been recognized among the Top 500 Largest Private Enterprises in Vietnam for five consecutive years (2020–2024) by Vietnam Report JSC and was awarded “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2024” by HR Asia Awards. These achievements reflect the company’s comprehensive growth, not only in construction capacity but also in its long-term human resources strategy.

The project is managed under a modern project management model, with strict quality control systems from design to construction, structure, and occupational safety. As of the topping-out milestone, the project remains on track despite supply chain and market challenges.

By the time of the topping-out, the project had achieved an outstanding milestone of 1,000,000 safe man-hours without any accidents, a remarkable result that reflects strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. At the same time, AZB had completed all construction items on schedule, fully meeting the investor’s requirements.

In recognition of these efforts, the investor awarded AZB a commendation certificate—acknowledging the team’s construction capacity, responsibility, and commitment to quality throughout the project implementation.

The Kingfa project not only represents a major step forward in attracting high-tech investment to Vietnam but also demonstrates the sustainable growth potential of the advanced materials industry. The choice of Dong Nai—with its fully connected infrastructure, large industrial land reserves, and effective investment policies—reflects the investor’s long-term trust in the local business environment.

Thanks to the strong coordination between the investor, local authorities, and general contractor AZB, the Kingfa project is expected to become a benchmark for FDI project effectiveness, construction quality, and rapid execution in the high-tech industrial sector.
