PROJECT UPDATE: WHITEX – DUNG QUAT PROJECT PROGRESS IS NOW OVER 90% COMPLETE
[April 20th, 2022] Thanks to the determination and efforts of the project management team, the Whitex – Dung Quat factory project has entered its final stage of completion and is scheduled to be handed over for use in May 2022.
Whitex Group was established in 1984 and is one of the leading textile and apparel manufacturing companies in Malaysia. With favorable investment conditions in Vietnam and based on their business development plan, the group decided to construct its second factory in Vietnam at the VSIP industrial park in Quang Ngai province.
The factory covers an area of 80,000m2 and specializes in the production of fabric (with a capacity of 3,200 tons per year) and apparel (with a capacity of 30,000 tons per year), which will be exported to markets in Europe, America, and elsewhere. Once completed and operational, the factory is expected to enhance the group's export capabilities and capitalize on market opportunities created by free trade agreements.
Despite the challenges of the construction market and obstacles posed by the ongoing pandemic during the construction process, the project management team transformed difficulties into opportunities and remained resolute in achieving their goal of successfully completing the project.
